Part 1

okay for those of you who are not sure if i am alive, I am... just have not had access to a computer for a little while. But i am back! The short story is i went to Paris!! And i LOVED IT! I may have to learn French and move there! I fell in love with the Parisian Lifestyle; sans smoking though. But how can you pass up rich food, wine, cheese, and pasteries GALORE.... Of course if anyone knows a personal trainer with a bootcamp marshal intensity i will also need to bring them to Paris with me because i will get ridiculously obese!

I arrived in Paris on Monday night, the majority of Monday was devoted to getting to Paris, and sucking up to my friend Ben, who was meeting me at the airport. There was a slight miscommunication and he came to get me from the airport at 930am.... and then came again with much persistance to get me at 930pm.
I also met another interesting customs person, who i wasn't sure was going to let me into the country when i told him i didn't speak French. He told me i had to say one thing in French before he would let me in. I laughed... he didn't. So then i was racking my brain for something from Grade 8 French..... ummmm Je' mapel Kelley! (it is probably good i didnt have to spell it though!) After that Access was granted to France and Paris!

The next day Ben took me around Paris we did a walking tour and i discovered that i was in Love. I saw Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, Champs Elysees, the Louvre, Hotel Invalids, the Eifle tower from a distance, and Sooo much more!

Wednesdsay we went to Versailles. It is so increadible there. It was really interesting to see the things that I learned in Jr. High social studies. I remember looking at pictures of the Hall of Mirrors, and learning about Louis the XIV building it. I saw the Kings and Queens room (they had different bedrooms, Salons and receiving rooms) and the bed whih 19 royal children were born. The room where Marie Antointe escaped through a secret door during the revolution. They should take you to Paris when they teach you these things.. i think i would have been more interested to actually see them and see how amazing and beautiful these places really are!
